Subject: My Old Kentucky Home: "An Old Kentucky Christmas Carol"
Message: December 16 - Enter the mansion’s decked halls where you’ll encounter Charles Dickens, who will set the stage for his classic Christmas tale. As you move from room to room, you’ll be transformed into the Victorian world of Ebenezer Scrooge. The ghost of Marley and the spirits of Christmas past, present, and future lead you from scene to scene while singing songs of Christmas, until you finally meet My Old Kentucky Home’s original owner, John Rowan, reading “A Christmas Carol” to his children beside the Christmas tree! Your tour will end with refreshments in the carriage house where you’ll meet Santa and make photos with his sleigh! Hear and see carolers in Victorian hoops skirts and tailcoats, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, garlands, mistletoe, stockings full of toys, the annual gingerbread model of the historic mansion made by our chefs, rooms lit by lantern light, nutcrackers standing guard over the mansion’s halls all must mean it’s Christmas time at My Old Kentucky Home! 6-9 p.m. Adults $16, Children $12. 501 E. Stephen Foster Ave. 502-348-3502 or 800-323-7803. http://visitmyoldkyhome.com
