Subject: The Stephen Foster Story - Season, August 2-10

Message: The Stephen Foster Story is performed each summer at the amphitheater in Bardstown and features more than forty songs written by Stephen Collins Foster, including “Oh! Susanna”, “Camptown Races”, “Beautiful Dreamer”, “Hard Times (Come Again No More)”, and “My Old Kentucky Home”. The musical explores Foster’s struggle with love, family friendships, and his clash with American slavery. A cast of nearly fifty performers dressed in beautiful costumes brings the story to life each night through dance, drama, and familiar songs the whole family can enjoy.
